The National Padel League has announced the launch of the USA National Team League, the first structured amateur padel team competition with nationwide scope in the United States. Endorsed by the U.S. Padel Association, the league is set to begin in Fall 2025, bringing competitive play to 40 cities across six regions: Florida, Texas, Southeast, Southwest, Mid Atlantic, and Northwest.
This initiative represents a significant development for amateur padel in the United States, providing players aged 16 and older with active USPA membership the opportunity to compete in a professional-style team format. Players can represent their cities in local, regional, and national competitions while building connections within the padel community. The league features separate men's and women's divisions with skill levels categorized using the World Padel Rating system, including Beginner, Intermediate, High Intermediate, and Advanced categories.
Team rosters will consist of 6-15 players, with free agents able to register for placement on local teams. Each match will comprise three doubles games, with teams advancing by winning two out of three games. The competition structure includes city-level play in October 2025, regional championships in November 2025, and national finals in February 2026 in Miami. Regional champions will receive travel support and media coverage at the national finals.
National champions will be awarded trophies, custom apparel, Delta travel vouchers, and official recognition in league history. Registration for the league is currently open and will close on October 6. For more information and registration details, visit nationalpadelleague.us.
The establishment of this nationwide league addresses the growing interest in padel across the United States by providing amateur players with structured competitive opportunities previously unavailable at this scale. By creating accessible pathways from local club play to national competition, the league supports the sport's development while fostering community engagement and athletic development among participants nationwide.
