UGI Utilities Begins Carlisle Gas System Upgrades with Potential Service Expansion

UGI Utilities will begin system upgrades in Carlisle on Monday, November 10th as part of the company's commitment to provide safe and reliable service. The gas main replacement project will also create opportunities for some homes and businesses along the project route to convert to natural gas service. The extensive upgrades will occur in sections and are expected to extend into the Spring season, with construction pausing during the weeks of December 22 and December 29 before resuming on January 5.

The project will impact multiple roadways throughout Carlisle, including C Street between Cherry Street and North College Street, Franklin Street between H Street and C Street, and D Street between Redwood Drive and Oak Street. Additional affected areas include E Street between Franklin Street and North College Street, F Street between Redwood Drive and Ash Avenue, and G Street between Franklin Street and Ash Avenue. Construction activities are scheduled Monday through Friday between 7:00 AM and 3:30 PM, during which drivers, residents, and business owners should anticipate lane and parking restrictions.

During the construction period, there will be some interruptions to natural gas service that will require UGI personnel to access properties for equipment inspection and relighting procedures.
